On my 53 a1 on the data plates, the one on the lower right says....Da-33-019-ord-630. After that it has an emblem of crossed cannons in a circle, followed by the letters EPM. Can anyone tell me what that means? Thanks. _________________ 1953 M38a1 USAF C'est La Vie

I have a 1952 (MD26784) and a 1953 (MD58270) BOTH were inspected by "EPM". See my gallery on page 9 for fotos of those data plates. Same contract number also even though the '52 makes the USMC respponsible for Depot Maintenance versus Ordnance Dept. on the '53.

Bluewatersailor, I checked out those photos. Looking good. I finally got some photos and posted them of mine. They are also on page 9. Going by your serial number that puts mine at MD 58056. 8/53. I've been having a hard time reading the 8. Couldn't tell if it was an 8 or a 6. A 6 would put it too early so it has to be an 8. This summer I hope to have mine out and about. Still a work in progress. _________________ 1953 M38a1 USAF C'est La Vie
