I have 3 pairs of these flanges, NOS in boxes with G740 part numbers on boxes. Also OK for MB/GPW. $70/pair plus postage from Canada.
these are army issue front axle flanges that replace the regular splined front axle flange so that the front axle is free-wheeling. A bearing supports the axle shaft stub. The standard hub cap is installed on the flange just like the standard flange.
PM me for details. .... Brian
They were supplied by the Army for use on jeeps used primarily on the post or base where 4WD was never needed and also for operating the jeep in low 4WD for parades without the front axle engaging.
They are nice talk about pieces to have laying around. They are great for the guys that run their jeeps without a need for 4WD and would like to save wear and tear on the front drivetrain and save gas. Or to crawl nice and slow in 4WD low in parades all the time.
The extra $100 for a set of used lockout hubs that can be used both 2WD & 4WD are a better investment for those who do utilize their jeeps in snow and off road a bit. _________________ Wes K

I like the look of them as the standard free wheeling hubs tend to distract from the look of the vehicle. And on the rare occation 4x4 will be required its not all that hard to refit the std drive members.
