I have installed a battery disconnect on my 24V system and use
it often. I am familiar with proper polarization procedures. My
question is: Does frequent battery disconnects affect proper
polarization resulting in repeated polarization procedures?

No. Prolonged separation of the generator from it's electrical source results in the loss of it's residual magnetization which is what necessitates occasional polarization when the generator is not connected to a battery for very prolonged periods.

I had mine disconnected the whole time I was overseas in Iraq. I think I started it when I came home on leave, and of course when I came home from my tour. No problems with it at all. They're the same batteries I put in it back in 2008 so you shouldn't have any problems.
