I'd like to put a full top on one of the NEKAF units that I am going to rebuild.....I haven't seen any door frames for sale. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough. Anybody make new ones ?? Or used market only ?? |

Be patient, grasshopper.
I've been looking for quite some time. They're out there for sure. I just picked up a set for my M38a1 yesterday. Paid $60 for the frames and the coverings, and I lucked out and the plastic window material was in great shape except for one little stain.
Just keep looking. |

I'm curious that folks like Midwest (who fabricate
wonderful things) or such don't make door frames.
They don't (to me) look all that complicated.

The guys at Midwestern do or atleast have had them. Both types fixed and the folding type. I got a pair of both just a few months back.
I think they could of been NOS though showed signs of age. Came from one of their picking trips. I spotted a pile of them in a photo on their Face Book site and got straight onto them.

Do seem to be hard to get...
However, got some of E-Bay this month, doors and rear weather covers plus frames, all in excellent condition, and they were vinyl coated to match my top.

Are there major differences in M-38 and M-38A1 frames??? I ask as I never thought I would get to the point of having doors...
I have 3 sets of frames covered in vynil and I am not sure what they will fit...
Could someone post photos of the differences please; if possible...
I have ordered a new top and side curtains from Wee Bee and if the frames I have would fit the M-38 I would order door covers also...
If they won't fit then I may have two sets up for sale, as I need to keep one set for the M-38A1 I have still awaiting restoration...
Thanks in advance... _________________ Hal, KB1ZQ
