Ok, after putting mine on, I am now seeing pics of these installed in both directions. Anyone know the correct way? Long side down or long side up?
ORD-9 pic shows long end down but I see pics of them up also. I went with the ORD. On the other hand though, it makes sense to have them long side up so that they pick right up where the window frame's section left off. I say they were made offset like that so that they just bolted to the flat section of the body and extend up to the curved part of the cowl.

Mine came with the long side up. Looked like they were that way forever.
Check the 2nd or 3rd foto in my album. BTW your project is coming along
nicely..

Checked my M38 - long side up on drivers side. Channel missing on pass. side.
