I have "use mogas only" under the caution at the fuel tank. could this be associated with where it was, or when it was there? almost all of the markings on the bumper are gone. removing the layers of paint looking for some kind of marking. thanks for any info.

"use mogas only" basically means use normal gasoline only. Mogas is just another term for motor gasoline. This was stenciled near the fuel tank so someone refueling the vehicle wouldn't put diesel or some other type of fuel in the vehicle that would damage the engine. Unfortunately this doesn’t help to figure out where or when the vehicle was used.

This type of marking is still used today on military vehicles so the same thing doesn’t happen.

Here is a thread from G503 that talks about the Mogas stencil.
