I'm having difficulty locating-identifying the cap gasket for the dipstick oil level gage (ORD 9, Group 0106.6, figure 01-4 pages 14-15, and page 46, 7047950 (WO-A17083). Not listed anywhere I could find so far.

My gasket is missing and I believe it's a necessary part of the crankcase ventilation system. Your pointers, comments, and advice are appreciated!

You could cut one from some neoprene sheet Ron.

Yes, that wouldn't be hard to do. I even have a compass to scribe clean circles. I generally like to at least try to find the correct made part first but am learning that some parts need fab (what I don't know would fill volumes), so while everybody but me might know this gasket is hard to get and/or has to be made --- I was also thinking maybe somebody might have crossed it to one commonly available at the local auto parts store for a couple of bucks?

Thanks!

The gasket is a very heavy compounded paper.

It can be found in the manuals but not all the manuals. It is in the M38 ORD 8 SNL G-740 dated June 1956 on page 21 WO# A7280 or ORD # 7371530 or FSN 2805-354-3756
