On my way to clean the engine for painting, under the grime on the rear LH side under the valve cover, I discovered two tiny black decals with yellow numbers on them. The top one read 663.1 and the other lower one reads 623.1
Any ideas as to what they are and what they mean?
Cant post picture, the host I used does not exist anymore, kindly suggest one for me and remind me how to put the url in my post
Thanks
Aris

You can get an album here for your jeep photos.

I give up trying to properly post a picture guys. Way back I have done it but with age and the host site gone i tried and only got from Imgrum the pick that I just cant make small enough. I also tried Flickr and got lost trying to learn how to do it. Wish our great forum had the means to do it from herelike others I use.
Anyway here is the hughe picture of the mystery numbers, sorry gu

There you go Aris.

It took me 60 seconds to download your huge photo and then reload it the new photo album I already established for you here on our mjeeps site. And then I attached the small version of your photo here in your post for you. I am also 74 years old! And I did send you a PM with your new photo album address attached and instructions on how to use it the other day.

Thanks for posting his photo!

Those are interesting decals.

On the website, we have been trying to upgrade, but it would take thousands of dollars. We are just trying to keep things going for now.

As you are probably aware of, many forums and websites are disappearing with the rise of Facebook, Redit, etc. and the activity/membership on these (even the bigger jeep websites) has been dramatically down the last two years.

That is very interesting Aris! The placement of the decals is puzzling as well. What could they possibly mean??

I think they represent a dimension measurement. Either wall thickness or height.
