by any chance does anyone have any orignal army or usmc manuals for the m-38A1 in a pdf format that i can download?

I can't recall any of the large ones being available for free as PDF downloads. Military Media sells a CD for $20 that has the four primary manuals for the WWII MB/GPW, M38, M38A1 and M151 jeeps for a total of 24 manuals.

We have the applicable portions of the system/component specific manuals loaded here and on our old Yahoo groups sites. IE, carb, fuel pump, generator, starter, distributor and etc overhaul.

I have that CD and I'm very happy with it. Some great books. I enjoyed reading the operations manual that taught me to double clutch to smooth gear shifting. They had a nice collection on one CD and even had the M170 books on the same CD.
