Hi Wes and to all,
Is there any chance i could get the correct hood number of my 3-51 M38 from the data plates?

These are:
MC15634, 3-51,
SKNOG27408358318,
DA-20-018-ORD-9196,
mfr part no.657116

And the engine casting = MC17433

thanks in advance.

We can only compare it to the data base and interpolate a number that would be close. Your hood number should have been in the 2386XXX range. I usually recommend owners fill in the X's with the last three of their serial number so that in the future researchers will see quickly that the hood number is a contrived number and not use it in their data bases.
