doe's the oil change only take four quarts for sure on the m38? I put in four but it was low so doe's the filter cannister take a quart also. thanks john jr

My data plate lists 5qts, not sure how much I put in, I buy oil by the gallon and go by the dipstick.
Don't know if you need to, but I do put some oil in the cannister before I put the top back on.
