I find myself really wanting to install the rear view mirror on the windshield frame but dont know exactly where to mount it. do you have to drill thru the frame under the hood loop? I dont think it was stock anyhow but I sure miss one. thanks john jr

I cut a piece of sheet metal strong enough to support the mirror and placed it under the footman loop and screwed both back onto the windshield.
made the hole in the piece of metal for the mirror screw below the footman loop so you can get the tie down strap in it when laying the windshield down for transport.

Morning Ken,
Make sure the mirror is low enough so you can see through the back window when the top is on.

The mirror I had on hand had the stem bolt off set from center which made it easier to mount. I just had to position it so it would not touch the canvas and be low enough below the footman loop to get the strap in it.
see a photo in my gallery on the last page.
Ken

yeah, It all depends on the type of mirror you have as to how it will work out.
