Looks like a late 40's Willys Truck. Don't know if the military used them or not. The engine does look very M38-ish though. _________________ Owen

46-49 civilian Willys
http://www.public.asu.edu/~grover/willys/id.html
Agreed with Wes. M38 24v powerpack, BO drive and marker lights, M-series instrument panel was a civilian makeover.
Or its a rare, undocumented military prototype (likely description if it shows up on ebay)
Check the data plates on the glove compartment cover. Those were not there on a civilian. They might be from the M-series parts donor.
It will need floors.

Cool. I've been long time thinking that my next project is going to be a truck or wagon. _________________ '53 M38A1 X2 |

i looked at the truck again today, the data plates are from a m38 and are pop riveted onto the dash. the engine's serial number is mc77391, which confirms it is just an m38 engine in a truck right? |
