I acquired an military gas can bracket and it has a couple of sets of numbers that dont match anything in my M38 parts list. Wondering if anyone can match up these numbers and let me know what it cam ... |

Have you checked the radiator cap?Is it blowing out of the cap,or somewhere else?
A bad cap can give way after enough pressure has built up occasionally. |

The ones i have from an L134 and f134 civy models are the same as the one on my M38.There is a picture of one in my photo album where i do my poor man water pump pully remover. |

Ok,I found that my M38 has the hand crank nut on the crankshaft pully,and the corrosponding hole in the bumper.
Has anyone here actually tried to hand crank an m38,and what precautions should be take ... |

What was the starting MC serial number for M38 jeeps when first produced in 1950?
I would like to know because mine is MC 21950.
I would also like any help in finding out what the hood number was. |
