I went the plywood (treated), foam route. Then I covered it using the material from some of my old army duffle bags. It probably makes some of these purists cringe, but I like the personal touch.

Doesn't it have to be hollow or was the rod bolted
on then someone cut it off?
It looks like both were torch cut. Why in $&% would you fire up the torch instead of getting the wrench out?? Confused

through that round hole on the bracket on the top left,
then across and to the filter. Clock your filter so the fitting

At any rate it is progress!

Your photo file sizes might be excessively large. Make sure they are less than 400K.

That did it. I sized them down to under 1MB and they uploaded just fine.

The civilian one. I meant to explain that it is the pump lever that is not moving, not the primer handle. Sorry for any confusion.
