Thanks Wes, I missed the part number on the Jeepsterman ad as being a Willys number, I just assumed that was their number.

I saw that set, but it was marked 67-71 Jeepster and I didn't know if it was the same thickness as my '53 A1.

The only guaranteed accurate and reliable source for the steering shaft length is the Willys/Kaiser factory blueprint compared to what your tape measure shows!

CJ-2A, 3A, 3B and 5 all share a 41-1/2" tube/gear...

I found the info on a few of the different vendors web sites...they all say the 41-1/2" tube/gear fits those models. ...
