Our block does not have a prefix. Does this indicate that the engine comes from a civilian jeep? If that's the case, are there any difference in a military block and a civilian block?

I have a chart from tm9-8014 that says the tranny takes one quart of oil. Does anyone know if that's one quart for both the tranny and the transfer case?

Problem solved! Last summer we rebuilt the clutch and while the tranny was out we power washed it and I thought we drained it and refilled but I guess I was wrong. Thanks for the help.
