I have an M38 serial #11833 the data plate says year for manufacture 1951. I have never seen one that didn't have a place for the date of delivery. Is this unusal? Also I believe in Ryans ... |

Might try timing the oil pump with the distributor. Most manuals will tell you the procedure. I think you need tdc compression stroke on the number one piston, and the notch on the oil pump at 11:00. ... |
