I need quite a few parts for my 51 M38 there are three I am looking at on ebay. I was just wondering what the going prices are for these items and how easy is it to find these parts. If they are hard to find I will try to grab them now otherwiseI wait till later in my restore.

One is a wheel Item number 300293145064 It looks like the correct wheel.

Second is a fuel pump Item number 320340214478. I currentky have a fuel pump with a glass bowl.

Third is a radiator mine was stolen while it was in an outside storage area in a bad area Mad Item number 140300658324 and would this be a correct part for an M38

Thank you for any info

Hello Mike,

300293145064 Civilian jeep wheel

320340214478 Looks like a correct pump. Try to get the Carter PN off the flange.

140300658324 Not M38. Is missing support rod sockets bottom each side and drain pet cock is on the wrong side.

The original early M38 pump would be the AC# 1539585. Any later pump supercedure will also work. When these pumps were rebuilt they were usually upgraded to the latest AC factory modification and improvement level and their part numbers would be changed accordingly. Here are a few choices in the many available:

1539585
1539810
1539917
5592147
5592655
5592659
5593209
5594069
5594260

The military wheel used on the production M38's was a 16 x 4.5" and had a safety bead groove on each flange and a small 1/8" hole near one of the 5 lug holes. Center section was a smooth raised curve without any ridges.

The wheel you spotted on Ebay is this one:

I got a reply on the fuel pump "The number on the flange is 4069."

I am guessing the 559 might not be easy for the seller to see

I saw the fuel pump #'s and didn't see mine. I have 1538354 at the top and 9810 on the flange and another one with same top # and 4260 on the flange.
Before I rebuild it does any one know if it will work for my 9/51 M38?
thanks
keith
