Considering the inflating cost of waterproof spark plugs, has anyone had success with pneumatic powered abrasive spark plug cleaners?

I have never tried one so I am curious if they are worth the investment, there are some fairly inexpensive ones I've seen advertised lately.

Thanks!
Cody

They work just fine. I have been maintaining aircraft (jet & piston) since 1966. I have cleaned several thousand shielded plugs and regapped them.

Stop by your nearest airport and ask for the FBO (Fixed Base Operator) with a maintenance shop. Drop in there and ask how much to clean 4 shielded plugs. When I ran a large shop I used to have walkings quite often and I'd show them how to do it and let them do it themselves and charge then a small fee for using the equipment.

If you want to replace the plugs with new or even get a set for later before the price goes up more, here are the links. I bought a new set of spark plugs a few years back. The prices have gone up a bit but aren't as bad as some people were reporting (upwards of $18 each).
