The best photo editing program that I have used was Adobe Photo Deluxe Business Edition 1. It came with the HP scanner that I bought when I was running windows 98. It's obsolete and won't run on todays systems. It was simple to use and did so much. Now I use MGI PhotoSuite 8.06 but doesn't do half the stuff Adobe Photo Deluxe did.
I tried Photo Shop 5.0 but it was difficult to use. _________________ Tropical Veteran

I had the old Adobe program around 1996 and it ate up a lot of disc space. I have a couple of their newer programs but they still take up a lot of space and are more difficult to work with then my MGI Photo Suite I have been using for about 6 years now. _________________ Wes K

I use Photoshop Elements 6.0. Falling off the learning curve is my issue. When I fire it up to put notes or annotations on a picture, it's always a "How the heck did I do this the last time" situation. Once re-learned, it works fine. _________________ Warren

My favorite is the GIMP, which is free. Sort of a photoshop clone, but not anywhere the feature set. But for what I need to do, it gets the job done just fine. One potential hiccup is that the documentation (help files) have to be installed separately, which is easy to forget to do.
