installed the nos plug wires for my a1, notice the copper is pulled from the metal sleeve on a couple wires. can you solder these back into the sleeve and be ok?. thxs

There are cables on the inside that I would remove (look at the parts manual) and I would hit with a butane torch to get hotnenough fast. Slide the rubber sleeve back as far as possible and wrap with a rag. My two cents.

Was the inside of the coupling tinned? If the inside of coupling isn't tinned with solder also you won't get a good bond and the cable won't be water proof. Looks like whom ever put it or those together did not take time to do that. That is how it appears to me.
