I bought a set of new (repro) leaf springs for my M38 a while back. They look good but for some reason the front springs don't match the arch of the originals.

The repro springs are roughly 2 inches longer (eye to eye) than the orig springs, and about 1 inch less arched (shorter vertically).

Any suggestions on what to do? I'm sure the shackles will swing far enough for the springs to fit but I don't know about how it might look...

They are Crown springs. Has anyone else had the same problem with these springs? I can get a part number if needed.

Do they have the same number of leaves? Are each of the leaves the same length and thickness and width of the originals?

Original front leaf spring has 9 leaves, the repro has 8. The width of the leaves are the same between the two.

The reason I bought these springs was to replace my mismatched set. It was always sitting crooked with 2 different styles on the jeep (one side original and one side replacement). I know these repros that I bought aren't correct style, but I wanted something that would fix the ride...

The original M38 front were 10 leaves and rear 11 leaves.

The shackle eye to pivot eye measure straight across should be 36 1/4" front and 42" rear. What are your repop measurements eye to eye?
