Hi Tremaine - welcome to the site! I'm sure there will be many people here waiting to help you, as this is the #1 forum for the Willys M series Jeeps!

As far as searching is concerned, it works best to check the "Search for all items" option. Be sure to try your best to research before asking - everyone is ready and willing to help, but all of the common problems have been thoroughly discussed here - many times.

Don't forget the downloads section - lots of info there.

Again, welcome to the site and let's get busy on the M38 CDN!

I'm sure you've seen it, but there's 2 "search" buttons; one to the left of the page under the "Navigation" box, and one along the top of the page next to the "Forum FAQ" button.

I could never get that one to the left of the page to work; it either gives me a mountain of info on all the stuff I'm not looking for, or comes up with nowt. Maybe it's just me. Sad I just use the search button at the top of the page, and it works fine.

Owen.

Hello, I'm in Lower Sackville.
I'm just about ready to remove the tub from my M38 CDN.

im in new glasgow, dont think i'll take the tub or the wooden cab offuntil the spring. im hoping to drive her for winter. fingers crossed. it was last inspected in 95...

i'll try not to ask redundant questions, but i will. already been printing the downloads. cleaned the oil churner and gas filter, new break lines. got a different carb thou, then the YS's so imstill looking into that. it idles the dies the book said i got to check the 'anti-percolator' not sure what that is, its on my to learn list. maybe in the line from the crank case to the carb...

thanks for the welcomes and the search info. i will keep that in mind.

i think im trading a junked 91 chreokee for a junked m170 with a complete but seized amc motor.

my jeep also has Suzuki rims and locking front hubs.

well i think i talked enough for now. peace.

Welcome to the forum. I am not sure what your intentions are for the jeep, but there is alot of good knowledge here . I am curious, do you have the serial number of the jeep ( usually on the dash on a brass plate) or the CAR number found on the left front frame rail or on spray painted on the body ( usually 5x- xxx.

Glad to have you on the forum.

Be sure to check out the downloads section and the photo gallery section.

There are lots of digital format military documents for maintenance and repair.

i do have the brass tag plate, i'll get the numbers for the collection as soon as i remember to bring the plate to the puter, the plate was removed from the dash to accommodate an AM radio.

i plan on keeping the jeep mostly stock. however it now has an electric fuel pumpand a inline gas filter and im going to put an electronic fan on it. i'd like to got 80km without being wide open.

its ruunning good now.

thanks for the welcomes. well met.

good to hear, and don't be afraid to post in technical forum if you have questions....to be honest, this is the first time I looked in the forum!

FYI, I am asking about the numbers to see how close they are to mine, as I am missing my CAR number, and I would like to find something I can make close to mine.

Good luck with your jeep plans.

cheers,

Mk
