Looking for the correct style of safety chains for the later M100 trailer? And where they hook on the M38?

This question has been kicked around here and on the G503 many times the last ten years. If you haven't already discovered the Army actually issued a MWO to remove the chains all together. I am not aware of an early or late chain. The Army field answer in the 50's was to replace the short chains with M101 3/4 T trailer chains and use the rear shackles to hook up to. The Canadians kept the short chains and added rings at the pintle.
