Hi fellows!
After many years of searching, I found an M100 trailer to pull with my M606 jeep

This issue seems to be early type and have a overhauling dataplate unknow for me!

No date marking...

anyone know that they are the hooks inside the red circle?

Thanks in advance!

Regards

Mariano,

The hooks were added after manufacture. They are for securing the trailer lamp power cable by wrapping the cable in loops around them. The early M100's came with a detachable cable that could be stored in a box mounted to those two vertical brackets on the front wall of the box.

Early style trailer with detachable cable.

View of early style hooked to jeep.

Late style M100

As far as manufacturer and date I can only guess since most Strick built M100's had the 4 digit serials that yours is probably a strict dated around Nov 1952.

The dents seem to disappear with the more wine that is drank, lol. Looks like a great unit to have as a starting point.

Mariano,
I think there is more in that shop than a trailer!

We have a winery near here that has a very nice Malbec.
Wonderful grapes from your country!

Salut!

Are you shrinking the metal by heating to remove dents
and low spots?
