I don't mean to bump this thread, but regarding data plates and the mounting plate. Is there a tool to properly attach new rivets when remounting the plates to a new dash mounting plate? If there is no tool, how would the rivets be properly mounted?

There are special tools and there are the tools you already have laying around. Single cap Brass and copper rivets are very soft and easy to work with. Just google the topic and you will get several hundred answers.
You will find that there are more leather working hits on this top than metal sheet hits. _________________ Wes K
