Ive been through the photo albums, read the installation instructions, found where the mechanical flasher fits in most everything except the M38. Not a lot of real estate. The drivers front fender inner splash shield looks
inviting.

I may have missed it.

Is your copy of MWO 9-2300-263-20 missing page 6?

It says M38 & M38A1

Thank you Wes. No I have that page. Hard to read the caption and saw the A1 in the pic and kept looking.

I like that location for "ease" of access.

Uggs!

While it looks good in the picture, in practice it is not cool.

It interferess with the firewall stiffener and the wire loom panel.

I'll keep toying with it.

To bad the solid state flasher goes there like it was meant to be. Evil or Very Mad

All you need are two standoff brackets to help the relay box straddle the stiffener riser. I've mounted them there before. Or you can remove the 2 mount brackets from the distribution box and fabricate a taller pair. With the extra space it will mount in the vertical position show clearing the stiffener hump.

The M38 photo appears to have the box superimposed over the jeep
photo. The lighting and color saturation do not match the rest of the photo.

From the rectangles I'm assuming these are possible mounting locations.
Maybe since you never take the firewall cover off it's ok for the box
or mount to interfere with removing the cover when installed.

Just a thought.
