Correct me if I am wrong but the distributor and cables would not have to be M170 they just need to match the motor in the M170. _________________ Chuck

Many folks ask for parts that fit their specific model vehicle even though the same part may fit several models.
There are three military distributors that will fit on the F134 engine in the M170. Two are not correct for the M170 because the earliest one IAU4004UT must use an external noise filter and the second one IAU4006UT(late M38) uses a different advance curve then the third one IAU4006AUT meant for the M38A1 and M170.
Then there are another half dozen civilian distributors that will fit as well. _________________ Wes K

Thank you Wes! I always thought the difference M38 x A1 cables was a metter of lenght and angled shape of cable ends. Boy....still learning with Prof. Knettle. |
