Hi my m38 operates sometimes with the 3 cylinders!!!! When it is cold and i fired it up at least 90% it operates with 3cylinders. Then after it warms up it runs ok. Confused I checked the spurk plugs and i saw in one of them oil.... not too much but it was there. i also checked the spurk cables and was ok. After all i take it for a ride and as it works ok then suddenly again 3 cylinders for 10 minutes and then in 4 again!!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

i m confused what is it wrong!!!! A friend told me to make a test compresion and see if all 4 cylinders have the correct presure!!!!!! Confused Confused Confused Confused

What should i chek????? Embarassed Embarassed Crying or Very sad

A compression test is a good start. Also a cylinder leak down test will reveal the condition of the piston rings.

It may be as simple as a tired spark plug. You could switch the oily one with another and see if the problem follows that plug or if the problem stays with the same cylinder.

That’s pretty intermittent.

Also check to see if you have a distributor
cap with a hairline crack, and that your
spark plug wires are not dried out and cracking
