Can anyone tell me what size the round stock is that's used for the door frames. I'm guessing 3/8". After looking at Wes's excellent photos I'm confident I can make my own. I'll have the door covers to help with the size and shape. I'll also make a template/pattern out of plywood first. Thanks for any help or hints.

Ya they really weren't too bad. The hardest part was making the door hardware. I made everything except the door escutcheon plate. Got those from MWM

3/8 and I used hot rolled. Cold rolled will work but it will make the fab job much harder. HR is plenty adequate for the task.

Thanks again. Yeah, the hot rolled is a lot easier to work with. I love metalwork so I'm not afraid to tackle it. Now, if i can find someplace that has some long enough to do it without piecing it.
