There are several manuals you should have to properly maintain your M38A1 CDN3.
The US Army pubs to obtain are:
TM 9-8014 M38A1 Users Guide and service manual
TM 9-8015-1 M38A1 engine & clutch service manual.
TM 9-8015-2 M38A1 chassis and running gear service manual
ORD 9 SNL G-758 M38A1 IPL
Optional manuals that are handy to have especially since the Army had a tendency to specialize maintenance topics back then:
TM 9-1825B Dtd 1952 Ord. Mx Electrical Equipment (Autolite)
TM 9-8627 Dtd 1953 Ord. Mx Electrical Equipment (Delco Remy)
TM 9-1825E dtd 1952 Ord. Mx Electrical Equipment (Bendix-Scintilla) For electrical connectors.
TM 9-1826A Dtd 1952 Ord. Mx Carburetors (Carter) You will have to supplement this manual with a YS950S spec sheet and the ORD 9 parts list since this manual does not address the YS950S. It only lists the YS637S for the M38.
TM 9-1828 Dtd 1952 Ord. Mx. Fuel Pumps
ORD 7 & 8 SNL G-758 M38A1 IPL's for limited items & kits.
TM 9-2320-208-20P Org Mx IPL
TM 9-2320-208-34P Depot IPL
You'll find most of these on our web site's "Downloads" page.

Hi Scott,
I have everything you need.....manuals, capacities etc....contact me at bkovacs@outlook.com. I have a 67' M38A1 CDN2 and I also had problems figuring out where to get manuals, capacities and fluids.
EG: Motor oil....Rotella T 15W 40.....for the zinc content.....Canadian military went to this oil in their M38A1's in the mid to late 70's due to lack of zinc in newer 10W30 oils....info is from retired military mechanic that rebuilt my jeep.
