Was anxious to get one of the M38s finished up for the meets in California in April. Been working on it for a while. Got is started over the weekend, Runs great, like the rebuilt engine it was sold to me as. After a few minutes found a crack in the block right below the deck. A little smile of a crack right below one of the studs over the distributor.
Any rate, I am looking for an engine or a short block as I could use all the other stuff off of mine.
Just stitch up the crack and use the one you have. Cracks form there because the iron is thin. Lock N Stitch. _________________ M38 23100 June 51

Along with a laundry list of other stuff, my L134 is at the machine shop right now for some LocknStitch, multiple places, all on the deck surface. Complete tear-down in my case.
You can do it in situ. I think that means in the jeep. I have personally not done it as my machine shop does it; do some research and you will see. _________________ M38 23100 June 51
