Well my son and I are getting to the point of thinking about the windshield frame and glass. Working with a rotted out 1955 M38A1. Had to replace the rotted out old body with a full M38A1 tub kit from MD Juan. Lots of issues with the fit and finish but were making progress on that slowly.

The question is with the windshield frame. The old 1955 frame was rotted out but it had a single piece of glass installed along with the two piece rubber surround. As I understand it the M38A1 only came with the two piece windshield. Is that correct or did they occasionally come with a single piece? I suspect Bubba replaced this windshield with a CJ5 version at some point?

Will the two piece windshield fit in the MD Juan frame? Obviously will require us to purchase the correct two piece rubber and get the proper dimensions for the glass guy to cut the two pieces. Believe the two piece dimensions are in another post (thanks in advance for all who contributed).

Could be a CJ5 windshield or may be an M38A1 windshield with a one piece glass. Just google both windshields for photo files and compare with your old windshield. You'll also need the divider strip for the separation of the left and right glass.
