I've found my top bows and brackets but am confused on what all is needed. With the bows down and stored I think it takes 2 straps and the thumb screws to keep it in place. In the up position I think there are 5 straps in the rear and the thumb screws. Are the rods from the windshield to the bows needed? I've been looking for pics or instructions but ain't having any luck.

Hi Dave,
Do you have the M38 tech manuals? If no, you should get some, and they're free for the download here if you don't want to pay for paper.

If you don't have manuals, even a quick search on this site will yield nuggets like this:

http://willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=11482&highlight=top+bows

While there's a ton of patience and a hundred times that in knowledge around here, it's been my experience that only so much spoon-feeding works to increase real knowledge.

Most of it happens from a fire hose...........Shocked

Good luck!
