Help!

I need to pull the Fiber Camshaft gear off my L-134 block. I have no less than 6 pullers but the fiber gear is tricky. It appears I need a 2 jaw/arm puller where the two claws point outward.

Does anyone know a good source for a puller that will work properly ?

Hi Trip,
I used one of these:

https://www.otctools.com/products/multipurpose-bearing-pulley-puller-set

Many auto parts stores will loan them with a deposit.

My fiber gear pulled so easy that when it came off I thought I could've done it by hand. (Should've checked before mounting the puller --- it might have)

Good luck!

Thank you. Funny thing, one of the listed suppliers in my area is a company I worked for 30 years ago!

Thanks again,

Trip

I NEVER try to pull a fiber gear; they are hard to remove and I am afraid they will break. And if it is already damaged, bust it off. Otherwise, leave it on.
