Can any one tell me how the out board side of the front passenger seat is supported on the m38a1 on my g.p.w. there is a shaped sheet metal that the frame rests on but on the a1 there is nothing I can see unless something is missing.?

There is a little shelf-like bracket on my M38s but not on my M38A1. The cross piece of the seat rests directly on the inner fender.

Hey Wingnut there is a bracket attached to the side of the tub. It lets the horizontal seat bar rest on it . The is also a spring clip attached to the bracket that holds the seat down. But mine is a71 a1 CDN

There is an early tub with no support for the right aft corner of the passenger seat and a late tub with a support bracket and a spring lock plate.
