Hi, I'm searching any information on the two jeeps posted here (model ,year, etc.):

Seething, UK - https://www.flickr.com/photos/21734563@N04/2103868992/in/album-72157603448782244/

The vehicle by the left wing is a WWII Dodge WC series command car.

USA - https://www.flickr.com/photos/21734563@N04/2102826257/in/album-72157603448782244/

The vehicle the gents are seated on is a WWII vintage flightline tug/tractor

The Seething, UK photo was taken in the spring of 1945.
The state side phone was probably taken in 1944 or 1945.

These photos and the associated military photos on my Flickr site are in the creative commons and free to be shared.

I'm also interested in any assembly/production line photos during WWII at Willys-Overland in Toledo?

Also dose anyone have any information on the first jeep off the assembly line and the crew that assembled it? My great uncle told me he worked on the crew that built the first Jeep at Willys-Overland in Toledo. His name was Fletcher Foster. I recall him stating the names of the other workers who built the first jeep off the assembly line. His brother Virgil Foster also worked at Willys-Overland.

Thank You,

David Foster

Hi David,

I moved your post here where it will get better exposure from curious folks. The Photo problems and album request page is usually only visited by folks with photo posting problems or Album requests and Ryan and I answer their needs there.

We are a web site dedicated to the restoration of post WWII military jeeps dated 1950 thru 1972 but we always welcome earlier military jeep owners as well.

You may also find our web sites public photo album with period jeep photos useful.

Hi David,
In the first photo (the UK one) the one that comes up with the B-24 there is a 1942-1945 3/4 ton Dodge WC 56 or WC 57 (depending if it has a winch). In the other the service men appear to be sitting on tug. I did not see any jeeps in the photos.

Hi David,

Here's a good link for the old WWII aircraft tugs/tractors: http://www.warbirdinformationexchange.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=64372

This one looks very close:

Thank you Wes, and Kendall,

The photo descriptions have been updated with the information you provided and credited to this website.

I noticed there are some assembly line and production photos of jeeps in the photo galleries from what appress to be Willys-Overland in Toledo. Are these free to download and use or are there any restrictions?

Happy Holidays

They were all found drifting on the web. I always try to credit the original source and as long as you do that I see no problem.
