I am looking for advice on an 8.5 inch clutch and pressure plate, brands and their quality for my m38. I plan on adding an overdrive later also. I have a duralast set available locally for $128.00 but I dont want junk, any comments from experiance would be great .

Years ago after i first got my M38 I used it for plowing snow, and I thought that I was smoking my clutch by doing so. I put a new one in only for it to do it all over again. After closer examination I found it wasn't the clutch or pressure plate at all. It was the elongated holes in the bellcrank and that the linkage rods that were almost worn through. Those seem to go bad due the lack of lubrication, not a very good setup in my opinion. Rolling Eyes
