I removed the line from the fording valve to the engine block so I could replace the bi metallic heat riser spring. Now the Inverted flare fitting is not wanting to restart so can I just cap off at the block and manifold?

If I have to replace that 90 fitting is that hard to find?

Hi Johnny,
Which one? I believe there's an elbow on both ends of that line? But you didn't post a photo and my crystal balls are out being washed so I can't see what you have. Good news is neither elbow is hard to find.

That line is there for a reason. I say fix it! Everybody here wants to see you fix it! It's what the crowd came to see. If you cap them off, some folks might take to calling you "Bubba". Shocked Laughing Your motor will thank you.

Good luck!

I found the fitting at O’Reilly’s it matches the description in ORD 9 SNL G-740
Pt# 143343. Now getting it has been a problem it has been ordered for the third time. Since I have time going to inspect 5336400 vacuum breaker valve for pluggage. Searching posts have shown how important this system is to the health of this motor. BTW replaced valve riser spring and that system is working great.
