Okay so I hope someone with experience can provide some perspective. I have a chance to buy a '76 J10 for cheap, about $500. It has some serious issues though, Fred Flintstone could drive it, there is no transmission or transfer case and the bed needs sides and fenders. The frame seems solid and everything else seems to be there, the engine is supposed to still run.

I am not very good with sheet metal but the panels are available. So is it worth it or should I walk away. If it was OD I would be all over it but not really sure with this.

Anyway, opinions wanted.

yeah I think I will keep the money... well sort of, I need to do the injectors on my truck so there goes $1200 anyways. Just have to keep looking for an universal carrier... or a churchill.

Yeah I can't stick to just one, I need something else to do if I get frustrated with one. Having said that my truck is not really a project, it is a 2016 ram it's just I have done alot of heavy hauling and am near 100k km when injectors start to fail and am exhibiting signs of such. For projects I just have my model kits need something big greasy and preferably green. Smile

Laura Dern once said in the first Jurassic Park movie,”Run!”

Seriously, how can you start the engine to test with no tranny or transfer?

What’s the back side hanging on?
