Thanks Wes! It does appear on the patent plate ....if thats the one behind the passenger seat. Unfortunately the dash serial plate is missing along with another small plate that was next to it in the bottom middle.I think that would have been the winch/pto plate? I did some more reading about differences in your threads and found that I do have the hinged grill and the battery door with the 8 thumb screws. Thanks again for responding, Jeff
The missing dash plate tends to point towards a tub swap in the past meaning your marine type undercoated frame may not be representative of the serial on the tub's patent plate. This is not what folks wish to hear but is a fact of life with these ancient vehicles. _________________ Wes K

Yes, I understand. Its really hard to lock down all the variables that could have taken place in 70 years. At this point I am just going to enjoy it and ride the wifey and the grand kids around the farm from time to time. Its a nice restoration and has a way cool factor.....so even if it happens not to be correct, I dont mind so much. Thanks for your input and your time. All the best, Jeff
