Greetings,

is there a source that has info on all the different M38s that were built?
I'm interested in what variations were produced, for ARmy, navy, air force, marines, military police, other variations?

Also, were there any M38s produced for the movie industry?

any help on any info I can get on this would be greatly appreicated.

I would suggest you start with my photo albums which have 100's of detailed photos and the sub-albums are all labeled with the info they contain. There are sub-albums for USMC jeeps, USAF jeeps, Navy Jeeps, Coast Guard jeeps and on and on. There were no factory produced military jeeps just for the movies. The movie folks utilized the current military stocks and when time passed and the military had no more stocks they just posted an ad in the local news papers for volunteers to let them use their jeeps. As for how and when configurations changed from the factory you will find the serialized changes listed in the appropriate ORD 9's most valuable!
