Hello,
I thought I had a problem with the PCV valve, so with the help of everyone here I figured out how to take it out and clean it. Put it all back together and I couldn't get it to run
This weekend, got it fired up but it is still pulling oil from the oil bath to the carburetor.
I was wondering if anyone else has had that issue and what I may be missing?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

What weight of oil are you using in the filter? Any lighter than 30 SAE could see it pulled in to the carb. _________________ Jordan

You mention ..Gas in Oil Filter??
Do you have Gas in the OIL?
Does the dipstick smell of gas?
Is the oil level High?

Is this how you put it back together?

Hello Pat,
Do you have all of the fording ventilation system installed?
If so, are both valves open? Theoretically if the levers are in
line with the valve it should be open. Is the hose between
the crossover tube and valve, and the dipstick tube in place
and unobstructed?
Fresh air from the air cleaner should go into the crossover pipe
through the fording valve and into the crankcase via the dipstick
tube when the system is NOT in fording position.
The vapors from the crankcase exit via the valve cover,
vent line, through the PCV valve and into the intake manifold.
If the vent system is plugged, partially closed, and/or you have
too much oil in the air cleaner it can suck oil into the carb.
As noted, you should be using crankcase oil or 30wt in the air
cleaner. Have you cleaned it and changed that oil lately? _________________ Brian

If you have gas in your oil, it is most likely the fuel pump diaphragm.
Do NOT run your engine any longer. Gas will wash the engine clean inside and destroy it. Drain all the oil, change the filter, fix the pump, clean oil then go again.
