I am correct in reading that at the connection of the dash cold weather primper pump fuel line to the main fuel line at the "brass T" there is a ball check valve.

If so, where can I find one? I am going to check at the local parts store that carries more stuff than the national syndicated stores.

Hal,

Here is a photo just to make sure we are on the same page.

Just off the brass T , the line going upward to the dash pimer pump.

At the T just before the primer pump line hooks on is where the ball valve should be, right?

And while I am asking. I have been trying to look up the size of the brass fitting at the fuel line to the carb.

Ryan,

To my understanding this is the same ball check valve that is used on the underwater vent line from the fuel/vaccum pump to the Bell housing /Transfer case...

All fuel lines are 1/4" on the M-38... The M-38A1 were 5?16"... per the SNL...

Hope this helps...

That is what I was thinking also.

Yes the ball check connector 7375063 is the same for both fuel pump vent line and primer supply line "T". But the connector is actually 3/16" tubing size. I may be mistaken Ryan but it looks like your "T" is about 2" too far forward and is not quite the right connections between the shutoff and the "T".

Wes,

That was a photo of Ben's and Luciano's set up.

What kind of tapered connector is that?

If you are referring to the tubing nut that is fastened to the top of the check valve it is a standard LONG style 45 degree 3/16" flared tubing nut ORD 120704. You could use the short nut found on the fuel pump. The longer nut is more vibration damage resistant.
