Slowly I'm making progress - I ended up locating a tub that's in much better condition, so I took the time to do some quick repairs on it and it's painted now. I'm really hoping to be able to be street legal driving by the time of the Weare MVMVC rally at the end of July.

Dash painted up. For now at least I'm keeping the data plate as original unrestored. Behind the data plate I also have a patch of the original paint untouched. Visible here is the HMMWV turn signal stalk. I'm contemplating using HMMWV clearance lights as turn signal lights, but undecided on that yet.

I've made a number of modifications in areas - the M151 pointless breaker in distributor, Geo Tracker disk brakes, dual circuit master cylinder, turn signals - I'm not going for 'judged accuracy', but also trying to keep military where possible and submersible ready as I do genuinely plan to submerge it (likely not too often, as each submersion requires a full fluid change).
