Anyone have the correct tinnermen ratcheting clamps for the clutch boot? Used in working condition is fine. Haven't had any luck finding a good source with the right size yet when looking under NAS397 or its NSN #.

Have you called Midwest Military or Army Jeep Parts or any of the other vendors?

They carry much more than is listed on their websites.

Not yet. I don't have much time during the day to call when they are usually open. It is on my to-do list for the clamps but I just wanted to throw it out on the forum just in case.

Email Uncle John. He usually replies to me
in the evenings after the fires go down.

Same with George. Both will respond.
Heck, John may pipe up here!

The original clamps for the cable boot as well as the crankcase vent hoses were a Tinnerman serrated type clamp. I contacted Tinnerman a few years back and inquired about having them made. I was told that these were a military only part and since there had been such a long spell that they were not ordered, they scrapped the tooling. This would be an expensive part to have made. Your best bet is a good take off at this point and those are very difficult to find as well.

Thanks for the info John. After searching the Internet I was coming to that conclusion. I did find a couple of places that sell them online but they were either to small for the large clamp and to big for the small clamp. I did find a place that might have something and will be contacting them. Hopefully they have them and won't want a minimum amount in order to purchase them like so many places.
