A 1943 Jeep would be a GPW or MB WW2 Jeep. They never had a diesel. There were some Perkins diesels in 50's vintage Jeeps. People have also built what we call Jeep Salads. Lots of parts from different Jeeps. Look for data plates on the glove box door, or on the firewall. John

Hello Skid,

Any diesel in any Willys US production jeep built before 1960 would not be correct. The Perkins diesel was utilized in US production Kaiser/Willys built CJ5's and CJ6's from 1961 thru 1968.

The 1943 jeep you are considering would drop in value with the incorrect engine.

You will need to visit web sites with European Ads for WWII US jeeps for sale to learn what price range the jeep should fall in.
