I looked thru the ORD 9 SNL G740 and could not find the transmission mount plate assembly for the 51 M38. I lost the 4 bolts and the 2 nuts on the plate bottom going into the base of the transmission, what are the sizes or where can I look to find them?

thanks in advance

Take a look at page 274, item 7372507,
and page 270 fig15-1.

Take care,

No looking for the transmission plate bolts, i saw the bolts referenced but thought those were for the 4 cross member bolts. I will compare those bolts up to the plate and see if they match up to the base of the transmission case tonight. There are still 2 nuts that attach to the bolts on the plate to hold the transmission in place. Thanks for the help.

Brian's reference to page 274 is for the four crossmember to frame attaching bolts.

The four bolts that attach the tranny to the bell are on page 190 under the transmission assy.

The mounting bracket for the tranny to crossmember is actually the rear engine mount bracket to cushion and as such it is listed on page 25 under engine assy.

The rear mount cushion is listed on page 26.

See my illustration below:

Here's a reference for torques from the same manual: http://www.willysmjeeps.com/v2/modules.php?full=1&set_albumName=album325&id=285_Torques&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php
