Man,
You all must be busy wailing away on your projects.
It sure has been quiet around here.
I've been forced to go surf the G for green entertainment.

I'm expecting a whole ton of photos and updates
from you guys!

I just finished my tranny and t case rebuild. Today I took it on a 4X4 test drive. No leaks and doesn't pop out of low, and out of 2nd. I used a Novak master rebuild kits. I replaced all the gears in the tranny. Now I'm looking for a trailer to take to the mountains.

sorry to disappoint but I have been quiet because between insane heat 40+ Celsius most days and having to fix other things, lawnmower and horse trailer, there has not been much shop time.

Been up in the Big Horns driving and scouting out trails. Now it's upgrades to the mobile camping design and lockers front and rear. Too bad my M38's didn't come with lockers. You got to go drive em or it's not right ya know! Oilly

Say John, I hunted that Black Hills west area 86-89 when I lived in Blackhawk with my 52 M38A1 without lockers. Are you chasing mountain goats?

No goats Wes! Just some more difficult trails. Not quite rock crawling, but tough. Up next to the Cloud Peak wilderness in Wyo. It was Jeep intoxicating. John

That it is. I really miss that part of the country.

If you want to stay with 5.38's you'll have to find a pair of USMC stock m38A1 axles or go with an aftermarket locker set.

Lock Rights from Summit. You don't have to change the carrier out, which means no re-shimming. You simply pull your axles out a bit, pull the carrier out, remove the ring, punch out the pin in the cross shaft, pull the two spiders and replace them with the lock right spiders, original cup washers, and go back together.
